All jokes aside, I don’t think anyone has the right to treat an adult like a toddler because, theoretically, in the adult world nobody has enough authority over us to do something like that. And it would be much better if the person who noticed our weird behaviour confronted us about it instead of trying to use parenting techniques on us. -

Of course, our inner child deserves care and, sometimes, special treatment, but not like that. All in all, if a parent learns a new technique or implements a new way of saying sorry, that’s still beneficial to the child. To me, the solution is always trying to talk things through, no matter how hard it is. Maybe the stuffed bunny could help us all go through life in a more chill way, and the husband could learn a better way to make himself heard that doesn’t imply paternalism. Do you think it would work?
